KOMPASS Programme

Government funding
for solo self-employed people

Depending on your situation, you may be able to receive 90% government funding for our trainings through the KOMPASS Programme.

KOMPASS ("Kompakte Hilfe für Solo-Selbstständige") is a nationwide initiative of the BMAS (German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs). It funds further training that helps secure self-employment, reach new target groups or develop business models. Applications are handled through a KOMPASS contact point.

Costs must initially be paid by you. To bridge the time until the funding is paid out, we offer a special KOMPASS payment term: our invoices are not due until 1 day before training begins.

* Whether your training is eligible for funding is decided by the KOMPASS contact point during the application process.

Example
Advanced level in three years

  • One application per year possible
  • Up to €4,500 in funding for further training – 90% subsidy on net costs
  • Minimum scope of 20 hours
  • Completed within six months
  • Eligibility is assessed by a KOMPASS contact point

What is
funded?

1

Find a contact point and get advice

The first step is to contact one of the regional KOMPASS contact points. They offer free advice, check your eligibility and help you select a suitable training measure.

2

Choose a suitable training

Funded measures must have a minimum scope of 20 hours and be completed within six months. Whether a measure is eligible for you is decided by the KOMPASS contact point. For example, choose our iSAQB Foundation Training with certification.

3

Reserve your place

Send us an email with your name and preferred training date. We will hold a place for you and you only make a binding booking once the funding has been approved. With us, you pay shortly before training begins to keep the gap until payout as short as possible.

4

Submit your application

After the advisory meeting, officially apply for funding through the KOMPASS contact point. The training may only be booked on a binding basis after the funding approval has been received.

5

Book the training

Once you have received the funding approval, you can confirm your booking and we will send you a booking confirmation and invoice. This includes our special KOMPASS payment term: payable up to 1 week before training begins.

6

Complete the training and receive your funding

You must cover the costs upfront – with us, not until shortly before the start. After completing the measure, the approved amount of up to €4,500 (90% of net costs) will be reimbursed to you.
